PROJECT MONITORING

The foundation has instituted a thorough impact assessment mechanism. Our volunteers are integral to this process, conducting post-project visits to evaluate the tangible changes brought about by our interventions. This process allows us to

  • Verify the proper use and ongoing benefits of the educational resources provided.
  • Assess the stability and growth of the commercial endeavors initiated by widows and other entrepreneurs.
  • Receive direct feedback to refine and enhance our programs continually.

Founding Principles

Guided by our core values, the Sung Biela Foundation embodies a mission-driven approach to uplift marginalized communities in Ghana’s northern regions.

Strategic Area

Our projects focus primarily on rural communities, specifically the Upper East Region of Ghana, which has a population of approximately 1,301,221. Known for its broad savannah grasslands and distinctive baobab trees, the region’s villages feature unique round huts reflecting people’s traditional lifestyles and adaptability. The region’s economy relies on agriculture, with crops such as millet, sorghum, and groundnuts cultivated. Shea nut processing and handicrafts also contribute to the local economy. This area offers a distinct cultural experience with attractions like the Bolga Market, Tongo Rocks, and Paga Crocodile Pond, alongside vibrant festivals such as the Paragbiele, Willa, Zumbenti, Kobina, and Kakube Festivals, showcasing the rich heritage of the Upper East Region.

Ethical Standards

The Sung Biela Foundation is dedicated to upholding ethical standards that govern its operations and collaborations. The foundation prioritizes transparency, confidentiality, respect, accountability, and compliance with all laws, regulations, and legal requirements governing non-profit organizations, charitable activities, and financial management. These ethics allow the foundation to establish a solid moral compass and make sound decisions in various ways.
